Cody Kerr was the realtor we decided to go with after another agent we started to work with left us with a bad taste in our mouth. We had heard of him through my parents who used him when they were house hunting. They didn’t end up buying a house in Spokane, but they both spoke very highly of him (and that’s saying a lot coming from my dad).
Anyway, after meeting with him, he put together a binder with his market analysis. Because our house was unique if a few ways, Cody spent extra time making sure he was using proper comps and adjusted the comparison based on location and quality of the homes. To me, this was above and beyond what we expected. We agreed to hire him, and more importantly, he agreed to work with us! Cody is an honest guy who was very straight forward and let us know that he doesn’t always accept sales. This told me that he is an ethical man with a lot of integrity.
From the get go, Cody was great with communication and planning. We had a map set out of what our next steps were right away, which was very relieving to have these decisions predetermined before emotions took over. Cody had a very successful open house, which is when our buyer came along.
Throughout the process from offer to close, Cody worked hard for us. He made sure the appraiser knew the positive features and quality of our home so she would use appropriate comps and it ended up appraising where we needed it to. (This is something we were a little afraid of). The buyers agent seemed to get a little dramatic and times during the sale and Cody kept cool the entire time. He made sure to look out for our best interest and did his best to keep things fair for us when issues came up. He advocated for us when he needed to speak up, yet kept emotions in check. I believe his actions saved the sale of the house at least once.
If we are ever fortunate enough to move back to Spokane, our first phone call will be to Cody. We would recommend Cody Kerr and his group to anyone in the market looking to buy or sell!!
